Dog Grooming in Cornwall, ON
We make your dog look great and feel even better with a full bath, brush, haircut, and nail trim.
Full-Service Dog Grooming You Can Trust
Your dog deserves more than a quick rinse in the backyard. We do the full routine: warm bath with quality shampoo, thorough brush-out to tackle mats and tangles, haircut styled to your preference, nail trim, ear cleaning, and a final spritz so they smell amazing. Whether you've got a tiny Yorkie or a giant Goldendoodle, we've worked with every size and temperament.
We're based in Cornwall and also serve families in Long Sault and Ingleside. Most appointments run 60 to 90 minutes depending on coat condition and breed. If your dog needs extra attention - maybe they're anxious or haven't been groomed in a while - we take our time. No assembly-line vibe here.
Lots of our clients book every 6 to 8 weeks to keep their dog's coat healthy and prevent matting. Regular grooming isn't just about looks. It helps you spot skin issues, keeps nails at a safe length, and makes your dog more comfortable year-round. We'll recommend a schedule that makes sense for your breed and lifestyle.
What's Included in a Dog Grooming Appointment
Every session starts with a bath using shampoo matched to your dog's coat type. We scrub thoroughly, rinse completely, and towel dry before moving to the table. Then we brush out the coat, working through any knots or mats. If your dog has a double coat or sheds heavily, ask about our Deshedding Treatment - it makes a huge difference.
Haircuts are tailored to what you want. Some owners prefer a short summer clip for easy maintenance. Others want a breed-standard cut or something in between. We'll talk through options before we start clipping. Nail trimming and ear cleaning are part of every appointment. If you only need nails done between full grooms, we offer standalone Nail Trimming too.
Certain breeds need specialized techniques. Poodles, Schnauzers, Terriers, and Spaniels all have unique coat requirements. We handle those cuts regularly, but if you want a deep dive into breed-specific styling, check out our Breed Specific Grooming service.
Pricing That Makes Sense
We charge based on size, coat condition, and temperament. A small dog with a clean, brushed coat costs less than a large dog with severe matting. Basic bath and brush for a small breed starts around $50. Full groom for a medium dog usually runs $75 to $95. Large or giant breeds, or dogs with thick double coats, can go up to $120 or more.
If your dog hasn't been groomed in months and the coat is matted, there's often an extra fee for the time and care required to work through it safely. We'd rather spend the time doing it right than rush and hurt your dog. Aggressive or extremely anxious dogs may also incur a handling fee - we move slowly and use calming techniques, but it takes longer.
You'll get an estimate when you book. No surprise charges. We accept cash, card, and e-transfer. Tips are appreciated but never expected.
Why Clients in Cornwall Choose Us
We've been grooming dogs in Cornwall for years. Our clients come back because we're patient, we listen, and we don't cut corners. You won't find us double-booking appointments or rushing dogs through. Each pup gets our full attention from start to finish.
Parents of anxious or senior dogs especially appreciate our calm approach. We've worked with dogs who hate baths, dogs who've had bad grooming experiences, and dogs with mobility issues. If your dog needs breaks, we give them breaks. If they do better with certain handling techniques, we adapt.
We also groom cats - check out our Cat Grooming page if you've got a feline who needs help. But dogs are our bread and butter, and we've seen just about every breed and personality type you can imagine.
Book Your Dog's Grooming Appointment
Call or text to book. We'll ask about your dog's breed, size, coat condition, and temperament so we can block the right amount of time. If it's your first visit, let us know - we'll walk you through what to expect and answer any questions.
Most clients drop off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. We'll text when your dog is ready. If you're coming from Morrisburg or another nearby town, we can work around your schedule. Appointments fill up fast, especially on weekends, so book a week or two ahead if you can.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I get my dog groomed?
It depends on breed and coat type. Dogs with hair that keeps growing - like Poodles, Shih Tzus, or Doodles - usually need a full groom every 6 to 8 weeks. Short-haired breeds can go longer, but a bath and nail trim every 8 to 12 weeks keeps them comfortable. If your dog sheds heavily or has a double coat, regular deshedding appointments help a lot. We'll recommend a schedule after we see your dog's coat.
What if my dog is nervous or doesn't like being groomed?
We work with anxious dogs all the time. We go slow, use a calm voice, and give breaks when needed. If your dog has had a bad experience before, let us know up front so we can adjust our approach. Some dogs do better with shorter sessions, and we're fine splitting a groom across two appointments if that's what works. We won't force anything - your dog's safety and comfort come first.
Do you groom large or giant breed dogs?
Yes. We've groomed Great Pyrenees, Newfoundlands, Saint Bernards, and plenty of big mixed breeds. Large dogs take more time and physical effort, especially if they have a thick double coat or matting, so the price reflects that. Our table and tub can handle big dogs safely. Just give us a heads-up when you book so we can schedule enough time.
